Protesters all over the world

Every human being is equal. Not all people are treated equally. When people are not treated fairly, one thing they can do is protest.  Protests are happening in many Arab countries.  This is called the "Arab Spring". The Arab Spring protests are taking place in Syria, U.A.E., Libya, Pakistan, Iran and even China.

In Pakistan, people are protesting for their right of freedom. The people are requesting U.S.A to stop doing drone attacks.U.S.A is doing drone attacks only because there are terrorists in Pakistan but drone attacks don't only effect terrorists they also effect innocent civilians. Rather than drone attacks there is also some thing known as Taget killing. There was a dramatic increase in targeted killings in the southwestern province of Balochistan. Thousands of people die in target killing everyday and target killing is done by terrorists and drone attacks are done only to kill terrorists and the only people who are most hurt are civilians. Many Political people were also killed in Pakistan. At least ten journalists were killed in Pakistan during the last year. Saleem shahzad, a reporter for the Hong-Kong based Asia times online and for Adnkronos International, the Italian agency disappeared from central Islamabd on the evening May 29 last year and his body was found two days later from 130 km southeast.

Protesters in Pakistani streets. People are protesting about the attacks which are killing thousands of innocent civilians.

The people are doing a protest and are requesting to stop the drone attacks. The protest involves both men and women.

The government is taking appropriate measures to prevent target killing. Ranger police which is a  special task force has been assigned a duty to stop these kinds of incidents. Process is a bit slow but it's working. Government is trying to negotiate with the other parties to form a coalition to find a long term solution to stop target killing.

In Syria people are also protesting. They are protesting for their rights too because many of their rights are taken away and some of those rights includes: Personal freedom, right to meet anyone else and the right to travel but instead of helping those people the president of Syria called the army forces to stop the protesters from doing the protest. The army threw many people into jail and about 3500 people were killed and many more were injured.

Conclusion: People in these countries are getting awareness through print and electronic media. They are getting aware of their rights that resulted in Syria, Pakistan, Libya and many more countries around the world. In shape of demonstrations that proved successful in Tunisia, Egypt and Libya. Chande process is slow but it's finally working and a day will come when the people will have option to choose the best regime.

  1. Uneeza,

Human Rights Watch is a great thing to get info. from! It is amazing what is happening in the world, both good and bad. What can we do to help things along? Will things get better in these countries?

I would love to hear more of your learning and thinking.
